PR - Page Rank of Directories -- Dec 28 2007, 10:20 PM
Hi,
Our opinion on PR?
That's a very tricky question for us to answer as I'm sure you can understand. But in fact I will tell you the results of a test we did a while back on another of our products, which has nothing to do with article marketing by the way, and is actually a physical product.
We too fell into the PR trap telling us that the more links from high PR sites we had, the higher it was supposed to bring us up in the Google organic results. Therefore we paid, and paid BIG bucks I might add, to buy text links. We bought PR 5's, 8's, 9's in multiples at huge costs to find sadly, that we did not move up in the rankings whatsoever, and our traffic did not increase. We just ended up spending a lot of money!
So what to make of PR, I don't know. All we know is that we keep getting emails from many of our users, such as the testimonial below, saying that they have shot up the Google rankings because these low ranking directories are publishing their articles.
"Just so you know, your program in just 3 weeks helped me get to #4 on a
very competitive keyword and I am very happy.
John
Rapid Recovery Solution, Inc."
By the way, we also rank #1 for our sought after keywords from using these same directories :-)
I hope that is the answer you were looking for.

Darren
